People formerly associated with Donald Trump are being prosecuted and the problem is....?

Watching a clip of Chris Hayes, of MSNBC, on his show "All in."  The title of the clip - as seen in the link below is "Trump surrounds himself with criminals."  He then lists 7 people who were convicted or, in one case, are being tried.   I'm curious Mr. Hayes - whose administration prosecuted those individuals?  Oh yeah, it was the Trump Administration that demonstrated no favoritism toward people aligned with the President. And during the Obama Administration, was anyone convicted for using the IRS against conservatives?  No.  Was anyone convicted or even punished for the Fast and Furious incident resulting in the deaths of American lawmen?  No.  Was anyone in the responsible agencies for deep water drilling punished for the massive screwup involving the Deepwater Horizon oil rig polluting the Gulf of Mexico?  No.  Was Hunter Biden investigated for the lucrative contracts he obtained using his father's name?  No. ...

Liberal Women rising to the defense of Hillary "the Enabler"

I started this a while back - probably during the Election - and never got around to publishing it.  But now with the Weinstein scandal and many others, it is once again timely so I'll publish this now.  The point being that people like Harvey Weinstein are not the only ones responsible for the abuse.  Their enablers are equally responsible. I remember the days when a woman would accuse a man of rape and the defense attorney for the man would shred her - bringing up her sex life, the way she dressed, the way she talked, everything to show that the accuser some how lied or enticed the man into sex.  I also remember the justifiable outrage that a woman who was a victim of such a crime would then undergo that kind of treatment. During the years of Bill Clinton's predatory behavior toward women, we now hear evidence from the women affected and others that Hillary Clinton attacked them personally and threatened them if they had the audacity to come forward about Bill...

The Case FOR Trump (Updated)

After posting the case against Hillary, folks challenged me to be positive and make the Case FOR Trump.  Challenge accepted. Let me start by saying I'm not a Trump Fan.  Of the 17 people who ran for the Republican nomination, Trump was about #13 on the list.  That said, we have four candidates for President and we have to vote for one.  So here goes, the case for Trump. 0. Repealing Obamacare - forgot this on the original list and it's way to important to put at the bottom and I'm too lazy to renumber.  Donald Trump will work to repeal Obamacare.  The program is starting to crater.  Premiums are growing at rates of almost 20%.  Less people are enrolling.  Unexpecting citizens are getting hit with surprise tax penalties even if they do have coverage. Hillary Clinton will not repeal Obamacare. Advantage Trump. 1. He'll get things done - Everyone complains that Washington is broken.  Nothing can get done. Who better to change th...

Clinton campaign run by morons?

Whoever advised Hillary Clinton to call Donald Trump sexist is a moron.   Hillary called Donald Trump sexist and the Clinton Campaign must have expected the media to play the "War on Women" card and beat up Trump and that Trump, like so many others, would be forced on the defensive, unable or reluctant to fight back. Boy did they get that wrong.  What's that saying about how people who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones? Donald Trump has responded with an ad pointing out that Hillary is married to a man that a NOW official in the 1990's suggested could be a sexual predator. Then the ad shows Hillary with Anthony Weiner, the man who repeatedly sexted pictures of his penis to women; and photos of Hillary with Bill Cosby, who is alleged to have drugged women to have sex with them. Like I said, whoever advised Hillary Clinton of all people to call Donald Trump a sexist is a stone cold moron. Interestingly, the media's reaction when Hillary calle...

How not to address tax evasion

The corporate tax rates in the U.S. are the highest in the industrial world.  The tax code is ridiculously complex.  Business decisions are made half based on what is good for the business and half based on what enables the company to reduce taxes. Is it any wonder that companies are leaving America to evade taxes?  Companies are using a process called inversion to transform themselves from American companies to foreign companies, moving to countries with lower taxes. The ones that aren't leaving are investing money made off shore into plants and R&D in other countries because taxes on bringing the money back to the US make that impossible. So what do you do to stop this exodus?  Well Hilary Clinton's idea is to make the tax code worse not better.  She wants to create a penalty to deter companies from leaving the US. Gee whiz.  Great idea.  Don't take the simple approach of making the tax code simpler and lowering taxes.  Oh no, keep...
