Jen Psaki says Democrats have nothing to worry about in the next election because Republicans talk about "Woke" don't really know what "Woke" is or means.  On her new MSNBC show, Ms. Psaki cherry picked a handful of segments, very likely taken out of context, of people struggling to define woke to prove her point.  But I think we do know what woke is.  We see and hear the holier than thou, arrogant, we're never wrong and the evidence be damned attitude of progressives on a variety of subjects every day.   Woke encompasses a variety of subjects.  It includes the alphabet soup of DEI, CRT, ESG, LGBTQIA+. Taking extreme positions on climate change is "woke" without regard to what these positions do to our country and our people.  Woke includes what schools are doing to and with our kids, while denying parents an opportunity to participate.  Supporting illegal immigration while ignoring the consequences of these policies is woke.  Defunding polic...

Tuesday's election produced dramatic results.  As political experts around the country try to explain what just happened, here's my point of view.  The lessons to be learned by Democrats are different than the lessons that should be taken away by Republicans.  The stage is set for political upheaval at the Federal level in 2022 but how big that will be will be influenced by which party derives the right messages from the election that just occurred.  But to start, if you want a real understanding of what just happened, evaluating the Governor's race in Virginia is important but that is only the tip of the iceberg - you have to look deeper into the races at every level and across the country.  If Democrats focus solely on the Virginia Gubernatorial election and buy into the media claims that Glenn Youngkin's win is indicative of white racism, influence of President Trump, or inability to get President Biden's agenda passed*, they'll be crushed in the upcoming ele...

At least that's what many in the media will have you believe - that the most dangerous thing to do to our children is to send them to school this Fall. The fear is hitting social media too.  There was a meme on Facebook, allegedly quoting US Education Secretary DeVos, who appeared on all the Sunday morning talk shows last weekend, as saying 0.02% of kids might be at risk of dying due to Coronavirus if schools re-open.  The posting suggested that would be over 14,000 kids. That's scary. A single child's death is tragic.  14,000 even more so.  However, I'd like to suggest there is another side to this issue. It is estimated there are 22 million or 30 million children* for whom school meals are the only nutritious meals of the day.  If 0.02% of those kids die of starvation, that would be 440,000 children (if we use the lower figure).  I don't know if that is a correct calculation but you have to come up with a much smaller percentage to go from 440,000 k...

President Trump on Friday announced religions are essential business and that the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) issued guidelines on how to open religious buildings safely for worship.  The President then said he would overrule any State that does not treat religions as essential. Then the fireworks began. In the press conference, the members of the press present peppered the Press Secretary with questions about how religious institutions can open safely and why does the President think he has the authority to overrule State Governments.  At least one MSNBC commentator opined that naming religious institutions as essential is a violation of the separation of Church and State. That the media raised any objection is a measure of how the press reacts in a knee jerk fashion, without any thought, to simply disagree with everything President Trump says. Let's consider these points. The first point - how can churches, synagogues and mosques open safely - was ridiculous....

The same media that howled when the Trump Administration terminated daily briefings and said it restricting Freedom of the Press is now calling for terminating coverage of the President's daily briefings on the Coronavirus.  The clamor for this is ironic, partisan, and also with precedent in history.  Furthermore, there is a much better solution available that the media can implement by themselves. The clamor is ironic because of the media's previous complaints when the Trump Administration cancelled the daily briefings.  Furthermore, instead of the circus like nonsense that occurred during the Administration's previous daily briefings, which were more about the media members scoring points and trying to promote their careers, the current briefings actually are important to all Americans.  Instead, the media is trying to tell us there is nothing important coming out of these briefings.  Oh really?  The Trump Administration is providing information about...

Watching a clip of Chris Hayes, of MSNBC, on his show "All in."  The title of the clip - as seen in the link below is "Trump surrounds himself with criminals."  He then lists 7 people who were convicted or, in one case, are being tried.   I'm curious Mr. Hayes - whose administration prosecuted those individuals?  Oh yeah, it was the Trump Administration that demonstrated no favoritism toward people aligned with the President. And during the Obama Administration, was anyone convicted for using the IRS against conservatives?  No.  Was anyone convicted or even punished for the Fast and Furious incident resulting in the deaths of American lawmen?  No.  Was anyone in the responsible agencies for deep water drilling punished for the massive screwup involving the Deepwater Horizon oil rig polluting the Gulf of Mexico?  No.  Was Hunter Biden investigated for the lucrative contracts he obtained using his father's name?  No. ...

One reason for the protests and opposition to Donald Trump is that he speaks ill of other people.  Even President Obama has gotten into the act. I find the conversation by members of the media who support the President and the President's own comments to be highly hypocritical. Since President Obama was elected, Conservatives are routinely called racists just because they disagree with the President.  Keith Olbermann, Bill Maher, and almost all the announcers on MSNBC have been particularly vile in some of the things they say about Conservatives and Republicans.  US Representative Michelle Bachman was accused by the women on The View of hating children because she voted against Obamacare.  Mitt Romney was accused by Harry Reid (who was lying at the time) of not paying taxes and of being a bad Mormon.
