What do Anti-ICE Protesters really stand for?

Someone really needs to ask the media this question.  What do the anti-ICE protesters stand for?  The media covers these protesters and gives airtime to their complaints but no one defines what are the goals or underlying principles these individuals believe.   Let's look at some of the people ICE has arrested.   Hernan Cortes-Valencia is an illegal alien arrested by ICE.  He was convicted of sexual assault against a child, sexual assault-carnal abuse, and four DUIs.  Mr. Cortes-Valencia was ordered removed on December 1, 2016, so he had his due process. Sriudorn Phaivan was convicted of strongarm sodomy of a boy and a girl, nine counts of larceny, four counts of fraud, vehicle theft, two counts of drug possession, possession and receiving of stolen property, burglary and check forgery, and that's just a summary.  He has a final removal order from March 8, 2018. Gabriel Figueroa Gama was removed from the US in 2002 and came back.  After ...

What do Democrats stand for?

President Trump gave his State of the Union speech recently to massive approval ratings from the American people.  Meanwhile, the actions, reactions and response by the Democrats were widely criticized.  Democrat approval ratings in the polls are incredibly low and members of the party were calling for Senator Chuck Schumer to step down as Minority Leader. When we examine what the Democrats stand for or seem to stand for it becomes apparent why Americans prefer Trump.  Democrats support: -- Biological men competing in women's sports.  They disregard the impact to women who have lost scholarships, awards and trophies, or who have been physically injured.  They further disregard the feelings of women who are offended by seeing biological men in their locker rooms. -- Biological men being incarcerated in women's prisons, ignoring the fact that women in those prisons complain of being raped and impregnated by those "female" prisoners with male appendages. -- Ignorin...

The Speech President Trump Should Give on Immigration

This is the speech I'd write for President Trump - I think it's time he directly calls out the media.  They hate him so naming networks or papers won't do harm.  I do give credit because he did address some of these points in his recent presentation of the Angel Families. -------------------------------------------- Good evening.  I'd like to provide you with information about the immigration situation that the news media won't share with you.  And by news media, I'm calling out ABC, CBS, CNN, NBC, and MSNBC as well as major newspapers like the NY Times, the Washington Post, and Time magazine along with many other publications in their coverage of my Administration's efforts to enforce the existing laws prohibiting illegal immigration. Because of the stepped up enforcement, there has been a lot of talk about separation of families at the border.  I'm not happy about children being separated from their parents any more than anyone else, that's wh...

Why Trump is partly right about Immigration

Excluding Muslims - no, I don't agree with that concept.  First, it is wrong to single out people based on religion and, as a practical matter, how are you going to do it. Where The Donald is right is that the current method for screening immigrants is broken.  What Trump should have said was that all immigration should be halted while the process is fixed and not singled out just Muslims. But if you have any question about whether the process is broken, just watch this video of a Dept. of Homeland Security high official testifying in Congress.  You cannot, after watching this, tell me you have any confidence in the Federal Government's ability to prevent terrorists from entering the country right now. https://www.facebook.com/RepDeSantis/videos/1001434629914597/?theater

Which is the "Conservative" position on Immigration

Was listening to Glenn Beck on the radio and heard him do the same thing the media does in defining the "conservative" position on an issue.  Where the media usually calls anything they disagree with a "conservative" position, Mr. Beck was defining a position on immigration as liberal because it is the position he does not agree with. In this case he was talking about a position Sen. Marco Rubio has staked out on what to do about the immigrants who illegally entered this country and have been here for years.  Sen. Rubio prefers an approach that allows these individuals to stay.  Mr. Beck referred to that as a liberal approach. So let's apply the what is a Conservative test to Sen. Rubio's position. 1. A Conservative is someone who favors less government 2. A position/vote/bill that results in less government involvement is a Conservative position/vote/bill 3. Taken to its logical extreme the most Conservative point of view of all is anarchy, no gover...

Are "databases" with people's names really bad?

So Donald Trump wants a database with the names of (insert a group here - Muslims, immigrants, illegal immigrants, whatever).  Is it really that bad? Governor John Kasich's campaign has an ad with a minister comparing the idea to Nazi Germany registering Jews.  Gov. Jeb Bush, Dr. Ben Carson, Sen. Ted Cruz, Secretary Hilary Clinton and Sen. Bernie Sanders also were critical of Donald Trump's comments.  Carson said that singling out a specific religion is a bad idea.  Cruz said that a registry of Americans is wrong. First of all let's clarify.  Originally, Donald Trump was calling for a registry of illegal immigrants.  Now he is now saying he wants a registry of Syrian immigrants.  I've not seen any clip of him saying all Muslims or American citizens of any religion. But let's consider the question of whether a database is a bad idea.  Is it like Nazi Germany registering the Jews?  Well, if it is then Hilary Clinton is a Nazi too....

Media misrepresents Donald Trump

I am not a huge fan of Donald Trump.  I'd put him somewhere between 5th and 9th if I was ranking the candidates in order of my preference.  But I can't help but be outraged at how the media misrepresents what he says. At first, the media did not take him seriously.  Now the liberal media does take him seriously and they often misrepresent what he says.  From their behavior, I have to conclude that the liberal media wants to damage Trump's candidacy. To give a single example (so this article does not get too long) - the Associated Press incorrectly reported that Donald Trump said we need to create a database of Muslims.  First of all, that is not what Donald Trump said.  At that time, what Donald Trump really said was that he wanted a database of people in the country illegally (now he is talking about a database of Syrian immigrants). But when the Associated Press sent out a story, every paper in America subscribes to the AP and ma...
